Migration from a Custom Platform to Magento 2 and Integration with the Navision ERP The Gigatron project involved migrating the existing custom platform to Magento 2 with the goal of improving stability, scalability, and enabling future growth of their online sales. SmartWeb, in close collaboration with Gigatron’s in-house team, executed the key phases of the migration and adapted the Magento 2 platform to their business processes, along with a full integration with the Microsoft Navision ERP. The integration enables two-way synchronization of products, prices, stock levels, customers, and orders, ensuring centralized data management between the online store and the ERP system. The front end was developed using a headless architecture, providing greater flexibility in creating the user experience, faster page loading, and easier connectivity with external services and applications. The result is a stable and reliable system that connects Gigatron’s online and offline sales channels into a unified digital ecosystem and represents an important step in advancing their eCommerce operations.

Implementing Magento with a custom Next.js frontend, integrated with the Navision ERP and an internal OMS, required a clearly defined architecture and strict management of dependent and complex processes. During development, integration adjustments were made, the design was optimized, and a custom order module was built to operate without interrupting sales. SmartWeb delivered a stable backend, clean integrations, and consistent resolution of technical blockers. The result is a Magento platform that performs reliably under load and supports further development without bottlenecks, ensuring strong overall performance.
